- David has 18 years experience of the Private Equity and Venture Capital industries with 10 years at 3i plc where he was Sector Partner for Media.
- Before joining 3i in 1998 David spent over 10 years as a CEO in the engineering and media sectors. Former organisations are IMI plc, Thorn EMI plc, Wills Group plc and Quadnetics Group plc (formerly Quadrant Group plc).
- David was Non-Executive Director of AIM listed First Artist Corporation plc (now Reach4Entertainment Enterprises plc) from 2008 to 2010 .
- Appointed by Allied Irish Bank (GB), David was Non-Executive Chairman of Spire TopCo Hotels and lead the sale of the Four Pillars chain of 4 Star hotels in January 2014. He was also Non-Executive Chairman of Morethan Hotels (operator of Holiday Inn Express Hotels) and Investor Director for Dealpride Limited (Construction) and Premium Bars & Restaurants.

- A Chartered Certified Accountant, David holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and a Diploma in Marketing. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment .
